Talk Title: From Roman Roads to Artificial Intelligence: How Technology Accelerates the Gathering of Israel - and Why the Best Time to Build Is Now Abstract Throughout history, technological advances have created new ways to spread knowledge, connect people, and serve others. In this seminar, entrepreneurs Cameron King and Kyle Nel will explore how technological innovation has helped accelerate the gathering of Israel - and what artificial intelligence might make possible next. Drawing on their experience building companies and developing Al products, they will discuss why they believe this is an especially promising time to study computer science. Rather than viewing Al primarily as a threat to future careers, they will explore its potential to expand what individuals and small teams can build. Students will be invited to consider how their technical skills can help them solve meaningful problems, create new opportunities, and advance the work of the Lord. Biography Cameron King is an entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience founding and building companies across real estate, travel, healthcare, education, and agriculture. He has advised hundreds of entrepreneurs and consulted for organizations ranging from startups to publicly traded companies. His current work as a co-founder of Aligned Al focuses on developing Al products and helping businesses apply artificial intelligence to real-world problems. He is passionate about how technology can expand opportunity and advance the work of the Lord. Cameron and his wife are the parents of six children. Kyle Nel is an entrepreneur, author, and co-founder of Aligned Al. He founded Lowe's Innovation Labs, where he led projects in robotics, virtual and augmented reality, and 3D printing. He previously served as president of Singularity Labs at Singularity University and was CEO and co-founder of Uncommon Partners. He co-authored Leading Transformation, published by Harvard Business Review Press. His work combines emerging technology, storytelling, and behavioral science to help organizations move beyond incremental improvements. Kyle holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin and a bachelor's degree in business management from BYU-Idaho.
