Jenny Pulsipher will deliver this Wonder of Scripture lecture. She is a professor of history at Brigham Young University, where she focuses on early American history, Native American history, nineteenth-century Utah, race, and identity. Pulsipher is known for her award-winning book Swindler Sachem: The American Indian Who Sold His Birthright, Dropped Out of Harvard, and Conned the King of England. The Wonder of Scripture series, sponsored by BYU’s Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship, invites speakers from diverse backgrounds to explore how sacred texts shape understanding, inspire wonder, and inform meaningful lives. Each lecture offers a distinctive perspective on scripture and its enduring significance.
