About this event
Michalyn Steele will deliver this Wonder of Scripture lecture. She is the Marion G. Romney Professor of Law at Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School, where she focuses on constitutional law, civil rights, federal Indian law, law and leadership, and Indigenous sovereignty. Steele is known for coediting Cohen’s Handbook of Federal Indian Law and for her scholarship on Indigenous sacred sites and sovereignty. The Wonder of Scripture series, sponsored by BYU’s Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship, invites speakers from diverse backgrounds to explore how sacred texts shape understanding, inspire wonder, and inform meaningful lives. Each lecture offers a distinctive perspective on scripture and its enduring significance.
