About this event

THE FIRST VISION (1976) – This seminal missionary tool depicts Joseph Smith’s dilemma and vision in dramatic fashion. A project long-planned by the BYU Motion Picture Studio, Joseph Smith’s vision was finally realized on film in 1976, and it looks better here than ever before. We are happy to present this film for a new audience and restore the history of the work of the BYU Motion Picture Studio. Starring Stewart Peterson October 10 7pm BYU Library Auditorium Restoration premieres are a unique experience. The restoration is seen for the first time, students and faculty present on the history of the film, and filmmakers and participants often attend to share their insight and experiences. Please come celebrate these singular events!
