About this event

Manslaughter (1922) – Directed by Cecil B. DeMille, this silent film follows reckless socialite Lydia Thorne, a thrill-seeking, self-entitled, and wild woman who has a reputation for acting without thinking. Eventually this leads to a guilty sentence for manslaughter. While Lydia is in prison, she changes her heart to a caring person and works to bless others. – But after release, will she stay on the righteous path and save the man she loves? Set to new music, this rarely-screened silent film presentation will certainly be a one of a kind event. September 25 7pm BYU Library Auditorium Join us for this year’s celebration of SILENT MOVIE DAY – an international commemoration of silent film history! Don’t miss this singular event!
